An extensive emergency response took place overnight on the Mass. Ave Bridge following an incident where two students attempted to swim across the Charles River, as reported by News.Az citing 7News Boston.

Law enforcement and fire personnel gathered on the bridge while responders utilized flashlights and a boat to search the river around 2 a.m. after a 911 call was made.

Both students were subsequently located safe on land.
