Did you notice a loud explosion or observe a bright light streaking across the sky on Saturday night?
It was a SpaceX Dragon cargo ship making its return from the International Space Station, which resulted in a possible sonic boom.
A videographer from Eyewitness News recorded remarkable footage of the capsule from the rooftop of our studio in Glendale.
The capsule made its splashdown approximately 25 miles off the coast, west of Camp Pendleton.
It was visible to the unaided eye for several hundred miles.
Our newsroom received numerous calls from individuals reporting that they heard a sonic boom, likely occurring as it re-entered the atmosphere.
